UNIQUE HAND PAINTED PLATES

Process #1:
The image is first hand drawn on a ceramic dinner plate measuring 7 3/4" or 11 1/2" (the size is noted under each photo).   Clear Hot Glue is applied with a triggerless glue gun.   It takes a lot of practice to get the control needed.   After the hot glue has hardened (and it gets very hard), the plate is spray painted white.  From there, each line is meticulously painted and each flat area is painted.   Two to three coats are required for complete coverage.  Coats of varnish are applied and a saw tooth hanger is glued on the back for hanging.   Each 11 1/2" plate takes up to 6 hours to complete and are truly one-of-a-kind.

Process #2:
Hand painted in 3D acrylic paint, applied by brush and precision tube.  They are varnished and have a saw tooth hanger embedded in foam board on the back.  This process takes a lot less time.
